Where it goes wrong in practice
One rule violation and your listing's gone
A slightly cream-toned background, a small logo in the corner, the product too small in frame: all reasons Amazon can suppress or reject a listing. The rules are scattered across style guides that vary by category — most sellers find out the hard way, after rejection.
Pure white is nearly impossible to shoot at home
RGB 255 means a light box, flashes and post-processing — or a greyish-white background that fails the check. It's exactly the kind of job small sellers end up outsourcing to a photographer who charges more than the item's margin.
Not enough pixels means no zoom, means fewer sales
Below the zoom threshold, your listing demonstrably underperforms: clothing gets bought on fabric and finish, and that's exactly what shoppers check with zoom. A too-small supplier photo puts you at a double disadvantage.
One upload, one Amazon-compliant set
You photograph the item once. The product shot gets cut out and placed on pure white — not a studio photo that's 'almost white', but genuinely RGB 255.
- The main image: product cut out on pure white, large in frame, no text or props
- Resolution comfortably above the zoom threshold
- Supporting images: model front and back, detail shot of fabric and finish, and optionally a lifestyle image
- Sizing info for your listing — 'Model is 5'10" and wears size M' — to fight the returns that hit your margin directly on Amazon
- All formats free from the same image — for your own shop and your ads too
Why bol and Amazon don't want the same photo
Amazon wants the main image on pure white; Zalando specifically doesn't (they want a light, neutral tone); bol is close to Amazon. So if you sell on multiple marketplaces, you need a slightly different main image per channel — of the same item. That's not three shoots, it's one upload: the product shot covers Amazon and bol, the neutral model image covers Zalando, and your own shop gets the full story.
In three steps
- Upload one photo per item. Flat, on a hanger, or a supplier photo of your own item — as long as the whole item is visible.
- We build the set. Product shot on pure white, model images, detail shot and the copy — in about 90 seconds.
- Deliver per channel. The white product shot goes to Amazon, the model image to your shop — same set, each channel gets its own main image.

Frequently asked questions
Does the product shot really meet the white-background requirement?
Yes. The product is cut out and placed on pure white (RGB 255,255,255) — not 'photographed white' but flattened to white. That's exactly what the main-image requirement asks for.
Does clothing on Amazon need to be shown on a model?
Style guides vary by category: Amazon generally wants adult clothing on-model, while kids' clothing and accessories are usually flat or ghost-mannequin. Both versions come from the same upload, so you simply deliver whatever your category requires.
I also sell on bol and Zalando — can that come from the same set?
Yes, that's the whole point: the white product shot for Amazon and bol, the neutral model image for Zalando, and all formats free from the same image. One upload, three marketplaces.
What happens with the AI labeling on Amazon?
Every image carries the machine-readable AI Act label in the file. The product shot without a model doesn't even carry a labeling requirement — there's no person in it. If a platform asks, the answer is simply yes, with the proof built into the file.
What does a range of 100 items cost?
100 items × 4 credits = 400 credits. That fits in one Collection package: € 160 for 500 credits — images and copy included, with 100 credits left over for variants.
