Where it goes wrong in practice
Macro photographer + hand model: €1,500+ per shoot
Plus studio time and editing. For a collection of 10 watches, that adds up fast — and every new arrival waits for the next session.
Generic AI invents a different watch
A dial is small, so a generic tool fills in the details itself: different hands, different colour, invented subdials. For a product where the detail is the product, that's a dealbreaker.
Unreadable in a standard model shot
A watch on a full-body model shot takes up about one percent of the image. Visitors see nothing — and buy nothing.
How watch photography works with FashionPix
You upload one photo of your watch. We place it on the wrist of your go-to model and automatically crop in close. And because a dial is small, watches always run in the sharpest mode by default — we measured that the detail gets lost otherwise, and the detail is exactly what sells.
- Automatic close-up crop: wrist and watch fill the frame
- Sharpest mode, by default: dial, hands, hour markers, case and strap stay exactly yours
- Dial facing the camera, strap sitting naturally on the wrist
- A packshot without a model is included in the set — the one image that legally needs no AI label
- A lifestyle shot as an extra image: close-up in a café or evening light — or your own background
- Copy in four languages, alt text and meta fields written for you at no extra cost
The savings
For a collection of 10 watches, a macro shoot with a hand model costs weeks and thousands of euros. Here, a complete product listing — four images plus all copy — costs 4 credits, about €1.30. Ten watches comes to 40 credits, and a new arrival can go live the same day.
In three steps
- Upload or scan the watch. One product photo. We automatically recognise the type — classic, chronograph, smartwatch or sports watch — and the material.
- We build the set. Wrist shot with close-up crop, packshot and detail photo — in the sharpest mode, so every detail of your watch comes through.
- Download or publish. All images plus copy in four languages — straight into your shop, as an export file or copied field by field.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work for all types of watches?
Yes: classic, chronograph, smartwatch, sports watch, women's and men's watches. The recognition sees for itself what it is — you don't need to set anything.
How accurately is my watch preserved?
This is exactly why watches always run in the sharpest mode. In our own test, a lower setting produced an invented watch — different colour, different dial. In the sharpest mode, everything matched: the bicolour strap, the white dial, the hour markers. That mode isn't an option — it's the default.
Why a close-up crop?
In a standard model shot, a watch takes up about one percent of the image — there's nothing to sell there. That's why watches automatically get a crop where the wrist fills the frame. It costs nothing extra.
Can I also get a lifestyle shot?
Yes. For 5 credits, you get a lifestyle photo in a setting that suits a watch — close-up in a café or evening light — or on your own uploaded background.
Can I use the images for Google Shopping?
Yes, the photos are yours and you can use them anywhere: product page, Google Shopping, ads, social media and print.
Does it also work for luxury watches?
Especially. The more expensive the watch, the more important it is that every detail is exactly right — and that's what this approach is built for. The packshot on white also covers your catalogue overview.
Can I also get a video of my watch?
Yes, with one click straight from your shoot: 5 seconds for 1 credit, 10 seconds for 2. A subtly moving wrist shot works great in ads and on your product page.
How much does a watch shoot cost?
Each image costs 1 credit, and copy in four languages is included. A complete product listing — four images plus all copy — costs 4 credits, about €1.30. With the subscription (€29/month, 90 credits), that's around 22 listings a month. Prefer standalone credits? The Package gives you 200 credits for €64.
